Sitting here, drinking my gin, writing a script.

it’s late night taking in some beats, working on some lyrical feats to deliver them audio treats. It’s been crazy with what I’ve been penning. I’ve found that there has been a lot of anger in the word play due to a lot of shit that’s gone down over the past 4-5 months. It’s not that I feel that anger shouldn’t be in a song because emotion in the track is what labels you as a real artist, I just feel that it’s not neccessary to always deliver that anger. I kow that people don’t want to listen to a track to get angry to, unless you’re about to enter a match or something. People want to relate to someone that can tell their story truthfully, and accentuate their goals, hopes and dreams. When I say their, I’m talking about the listener. So I took a break and listened to some Lenny Kravitz. Straight up and down, dude is sick with it and I’m a musician first and foremost. If you wanna do a background check, drop a line to my boy Tim Proznik. Shout out to Timmy!!!!! Anyways, I took in the tracks and got a lot of insight into how true lyricism can be so simple yet relate to more than the topic given to the listener. Taking the time to listen to something credible from a different genre is the only way an artist can develop their craft, when you think about it. Whether it’s reading, going to a rock/jazz show, watching a flick, all that stuff can be used to create some dope ass shit.
In other news, the Mtl show was live. Shout out to DJ Budda Blaze and the Northern Lights crew. All the performers came out and repped proper. Me, Theo, and Adversaree represented lovely. Smif N Wessun tore the spot down!!!! Shout out to my homegirl Ash that passed through to support the Camp X fam. Mtl was good times, but Toronto is my city until I relocate to Japan
The “Walk Through Myspace” album by Fokis was released last week. Sorry for the late update, but you know I’m on my grind. For those that want to download the full album you can go to his website www.fokis2k.com. I’ve added “How We Do” to the playlist, and you can check out “Get Loose” featuring Adversaree, Fordablock, DJ Grouch, Fokis, and Crosby below this last sentence.
